ROD Journal Cover Returns Home

ROD???  The talented Susie LaFond hosted a round robin for fellow classmates from Mary Ann Moss' Remains Of the Day class. Each participant constructed a fabric base and then mailed it to the next "player" to add onto it. I began mine with a striped fabric for the base and cut some slits on the end where the flap would fold over to the front. Next, I cut some strips from the leftover base fabric and wove them through the slits to provide some texture. I secured the strips in place by stitching "X"s onto a few of the squares formed from the weaving. It was then mailed to the next "player" for additional enhancement. After 6 months of traveling, my cover finally returned home looking quite lively, don't you think?

I wish to extend my heartful appreciation to

Maria Moesch

Rhoda Toynbee

Susie LaFond

Stephen du Toit

Susan Wachob

and

Kristi Wilson Bovee

for their contributions to this wonderful cover.

Please "Stay Tuned" to see how I further embellish and complete this journal.
